Your questions, answered

Answers to frequently asked questions.

Bookings, preparation, medical reports and medicines: start here, then contact us for guidance about your specific situation.

Do I need to book pharmacy services?

Booking is recommended or required for ECG, Holter monitoring, overnight pulse oximetry and ear piercing. For quick checks and other services, contact us first so we can confirm availability, preparation and timing.

Is an online request already a confirmed appointment?

No. Your request tells us your preferred time. The appointment is confirmed only when the pharmacy replies with a date and time.

What should I bring for a telemedicine test?

Bring your Italian health card, any referral and relevant previous reports. The page for each service also explains recommended clothing and preparation.

How will I receive the report?

The method depends on the service and reporting platform. At your appointment we will explain whether the report is collected at the pharmacy or delivered through another secure method.

Can I send prescriptions or health information through the online form?

No. The request form prepares only an organisational message. Do not include diagnoses, medicines, symptoms, your Italian tax identification code (codice fiscale) or images of prescriptions. If documents are required, we will explain how to provide them.

Do I need to fast for blood glucose or cholesterol checks?

It depends on the measurement and purpose of the check. Ask when booking, and do not change your medicines or diet without medical advice.

Can a branded medicine be replaced with a generic equivalent?

In many cases this is possible when the active ingredient, strength and dosage form match, subject to non-substitution instructions and applicable rules. The pharmacist will check your specific prescription.

Does the Italian National Health Service reimburse every prescription medicine?

No. Reimbursement depends on the medicine category, prescription, any applicable notes and the patient’s circumstances. We can explain how the rules apply to the prescription you present.

What should I do in an emergency?

Neither this website nor our booked pharmacy services provide emergency care. In an emergency, call 112. To find the pharmacy currently on duty, use the on-duty pharmacies page and call before travelling.
